WARRANTY provider WMS Group have invested in Motor TradeBook – a motor trade-only social networking site.

The site, which launched back in 2011, is already used by ‘thousands’ or dealerships, manufacturers and suppliers – using the site to promote their business and products, and improve search engine results.

WMS have invested an undisclosed amount in the website, which it says will help Motor TradeBook launch further features in the next few months, including an app and other functions  to improve user experience.

To celebriate the new partnership, Motor TradeBook are now offering a free service to members registering to the site before March. Including a unique page complete with the business’s contact details and hosting for videos and photos, Motor TradeBook sets up the service for members themselves – before handing them back control of their accounts.

‘The motor industry has only recently started using social media to communicate with their customers, and it is still gaining momentum – but the results of effective digital marketing can be enormous,’ said Alex Wright, Motor TradeBook’s founder.

‘Many members of MTB have already reported an impressive 50% increase in traffic to their sites, simply by using the platform to its fullest. MTB is fast becoming central to business’s customer care strategies, just as much as perhaps Facebook and Twitter already are. We are delighted to be working with the WMS Group – their generous investment is greatly appreciated, and will allow us to continue developing our range of marketing services further.’

Steph Collinswood, marketing manager of the WMS Group, commented: ‘By working in collaboration with MTB, we are able to support this free-to-use unique platform that is pipped to become the number one choice for social media in the motor trade.

‘Many businesses are successfully using it to raise brand awareness, reach larger audiences and engage with their customers – and being able to link posts, photos, videos and blogs with other social networks means they can be distributed to several places at the click of a button.

‘We are excited about being able to help MTB introduce new products down the line, and very much look forward to working with them over the coming years.’
