Bran for White Van Man

FRY-UPS, fags and fast horses are the stereotypes normally associated with White Van Man, reckons one firm.
But this is wrong, says Express insurance – and it conducted a poll to show the truth of the situation.
The reality is very different:
• Cereal for breakfast
• Regular gym membership
• Holidays in Latin America
• Laptops and iPhones
• Spending time with the family
In contrast, little more than a quarter of White Van Men smoke, and less than 10 percent start the day with a cooked breakfast.
MD, Tony Way, said ‘the results show that time has softened the stereotype of old.
‘The fact that the pub didn’t even register on the favourite pastime list shows just how White Van Man has become more cultured over the last decade.’
The firm also revealed who first used the phrase ‘White Van Man’. It was, apparently, Sarah Kennedy, back in 1997…
