VOLKSWAGEN CVs will now be headed by Matthew Bowden who moves from national fleet sales manager.
Being an employee of Volkswagen financial services since 1995 has taken him, in that time, to China and three years at Shanghai Volkswagen.
He’s timed joining Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles perfectly on cue to launch the new Transporter.
Director of VW CV, Simon Elliott, said he was ‘delighted to announce Matthew’s appointment and (I) am sure he will settle into his new role very quickly.
‘He brings a lot of great experience and is excited about the opportunity of working with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles as the brand and its business continue to develop.’
For his part, Bowden was ‘really excited to be joining Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles at such a key stage in its development.
‘With the launch of the new Transporter and the Amarok pick-up next year, my ambition is to do everything possible to ensure my team and our Van Centre network make the most of the great opportunities ahead.’
The new appointment follows the departure of Duncan Sands, who’s now Wayside Retail Group’s commercial director.
