VW’s leftfield MPV!

VOLSKWAGEN is to launch an interesting new seven-seat people carrier, based on the Caravelle.
The Caravelle Startline will be sold through the brand’s Commercial Vehicles dealers, with a headline-grabbing list price of £23,950.
It will also debut with a £299 a month PCP finance deal.
Volkswagen has introduced the model to appeal to large families who need as much space as possible. With the diversification of the people carrier segment into smaller, more car-like compact MPV seven-seaters, the large MPV market has been left to age.
By introducing the Startline, which costs £5000 less than existing seven-seat SE models, Volkswagen plans to target families to whom space, not style, is all.
It still has air conditioning, twin sliding doors and a rear folding table as standard. The central two seats also swivel, which the third row fold back to make a flat bed area!
Various options are available, including a ‘Sleep Pack’, that includes privacy blinds and an extension for the rear seat…
It costs from £23,950 on the road, with the 1.9 TDI PD 102 diesel engine. The 2.5 TDI costs £25,350.
