Vertu 1st SAF-Approved

VERTU Motors has become the first UK car dealer chain to win Approved status from the FLA’s new SAF scheme.
More than 370 staff at the firm’s Bristol Street Motors have passed the Specialist Automotive Finance test.
And Vertu Motors is thrilled with the result. Firm director Peter Stewart said ‘we believe this will benefit our company, managers, sales executives and, most importantly, our customers through better information on finance.
‘The SAF system has given my colleagues the ability to develop their skills and improve the level of service given to customers.’
SAF is a free online test; the SAF Approved scheme was officially launched earlier this month, to bring an official banner to the test that more than 7000 car dealer employees have already passed.
Vertu Motors’ achievement is considerable: for a dealer group to be SAF Approved, all individual outlets must first be SAF Approved. Quite a feat when you’re one of the largest car retailers in the UK!
Which is why FLA motor finance head, Paul Harrison, was so quick to congratulate the group.
‘I am delighted that one of the biggest car retailing groups in the UK has recognised the benefits of SAF Approved, and I expect many others to follow suit.
‘All SAF Approved dealers are sent a welcome pack to help them promote their achievement to customers.
‘Having the SAF logo in showrooms and on advertisements will be a real advantage in generating interest on finance.’
