Vauxhall price surprise

VAUXHALL is launching a special series of lower-priced Expression models with cuts of up to £3675.
‘Almost all’ Vauxhall model ranges are now boosted by the lead-in entry-level models, which are badged either Expression or ES.
The firm says it is doing it to attract buyers who previously thought Vauxhalls were too expensive. However, it is keeping options tightly restricted on the cars – and, other than base white, the only true colour available is solid red!
It is Vauxhall’s way of ensuring dealers still have headline promotions to draw buyers in, as scrappage draws to a close.
‘We recognise that our customers will still be looking for the best offers around on new cars,’ said Andy Gilson, Vauxhall’s marketing director.
‘With the Expression and ES ranges, we’re reducing the entry-level list price of all key models, while still offering generous specification levels on each car.’

Car dealers may have their work cut out though: some of the models are very basic! The Corsa Expression 1.0, for example, lacks electric windows and central locking.
