Vauxhall opens Astra

VAUXHALL has revealed the first images of the all-new Astra family hatchback’s interior, due this year.
And Ford Focus sector car buyers are in for a treat!
The cabin really is, at first glance, something special. The dramatic look is very distinctive and stylish, with a whole host of neat details emerging as you stare.
Check out the light-up gearlever surround, for example. And the way the dash blends into the doors. Not to mention the space-age glowing rings in the dials.
Vauxhall says it will be packed with ambient lighting, and be constricted from good quality materials.
The seats also have ‘industry-leading levels of adjustment’.
Vauxhall has also involved car buyers, by asking them what they commonly store in their cars. The top-20 list included pens, torches, sunglasses, mobile phones, MP3 players, cups and bottles.
This meant the glovebox had to be far more than just for gloves.
The company’s thus designed loads of clever stowage areas throughout the interior – including mini-glvoeboxes, coin holders, and specially-designed sections within the main glovebox.
‘Our goal was to make the perceptual quality in the interior of the next generation Astra as great as that of the Vauxhall Insignia,’ said Vauxhall interior man Peter Hasselbach.
‘This is in line with Vauxhall’s mission to bring innovations and quality to the compact class.’
It’s also made the new model, which makes its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September, even more of a must-see…
