VXR dealer draws fans

VAUXHALL VXR fans packed out Cambridge car dealer Murketts at its first ever VXR special weekend.
More than 200 VXR-heads packed out the car dealer, to see and test drive the entire range.
Murketts also had some extra-special displays, including Fabrizio Giovanardi’s championship-winning BTCC Vectra, and the mega-performance VXR8 Bathurst.
Even tuned cars were represented, by a Thorney Motorsport Astra Sports Hatch diesel, and a VXRR Corsa. Firm owners John and Tony were also on hand to answer any questions.
Murketts’ Tim Abbott was delighted with the inaugural VXR weekend. ‘We couldn’t believe how popular the event was.
‘We have already sold one car, received lots of enquiries, done two tuning upgrades for customers and a lot of servicing business besides.
‘This event has done a lot to put Murketts well and truly on the map as a VXR dealer and Thorney Performance.’
