FIAT has used the Chancellor’s budget VAT rate cut for some advantageous marketing of the 500 city car.
The retro 500 now costs less than £8000 – despite a price rise to £8100 in the summer.
The 2.5 per cent VAT cut has taken this down to £7929. So Fiat has taken the opportunity to headline the fact.
‘It has been praised for its style, eco-friendliness, road manners and economy,’ said Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat UK.
‘Now the Fiat 500 has re-affirmed its terrific value for money with this latest list price.’
