Two more Sep records

TOYOTA and Hyundai are two more car makers to claim record results during September’s sales boom.
Indeed, Toyota claims to have broken no less than FOUR records!
It scored its best-ever monthly retail volume, passenger car retail volume, market share for plate change month and retail share for the same month.
Retail volume of 17,267 has given the brand 7.13 percent of the September market. Even casting the net wider, it still got 6.04 percent. ‘A clear case of real people buying real cars,’ said the firm.
Hyundai’s having some of that, too. Indeed, it’s already beaten its best-ever annual sales… with one whole quarter still to go!
But the MD is still frustrated. Tony Whitehorn reckons the 11,031 monthly total would have been even higher still, had the firm been able to get hold of the stocks.
‘Demand for our cars is unrelenting. We could have sold twice as many in September, but we simply ran out of cars and time.
‘There are more ships arriving now, all full of our most popular models, and we are rushing them out to customers as fast as we can!’
