Toyota sets sales record
March 10th, 2010 by Richard Aucock
TOYOTA dealers have helped the firm handle recent highly publicised recall events by setting a new sales record.
The Toyota Prius has just recorded its best-ever monthly sales record in the UK.
538 models were sold in February 2010 – more than double the previous best score set in February 2008.
This, said the firm, ’serves as further proof that UK motorists have faith in Toyota quality and reliability and acknowledge the real-world benefits delivered by Hybrid Synergy Drive.’
What’s more, the third generation Prius is shortlisted for The World Car of the Year 2010 and has been Japan’s top selling car for 9 consecutive months.
Toyota dealers, have you seen similar positive evidence through the recent recall dramas?
