Toyota dealers win prize

TOYOTA service centres in the UK have been awarded top customer satisfaction prizes by the brand.
Three Toyota centres were honoured with the ‘Ichiban’ European Customer Satisfaction Awards in a ceremony held in Toyota’s Paris customer experience showroom.
The UK dealers were Border Toyota at St Boswells, Hodgson Group in Newcastle and WKB Waterlooville – they came out top from more than 2600 European retailers who were ranked.
In all, 41 car dealers in Europe were prized, meaning the UK has been well represented in the awards. They rate customer satisfaction in both sales and aftersales.
The award was presented by Tadashi Arashima, CEO and president of TME. He said: ‘Customer First remains a landmark of Toyota philosophy.
‘Today’s winners are the best-of-the-best, as customer satisfaction is part of their everyday commitment to excellence.’
And ‘Ichiban’? It’s Japanese for ‘customer first’… since the start of the awards in 06, Toyota reckons customer satisfaction has gone up by 19 percent in sales, and 13 percent in aftersales.
