VAUXHALL once again claimed top slot in the used car honours for 2009 with the Corsa supermini.
It beat its arch-rival, Ford’s Fiesta, and also knocked the 2008 champion – the Vauxhall Astra – off its leading position.
Car Dealer Magazine lists the full top 10 below – along with the top 10 used car sellers in each category.
Here, once again, the Corsa was top supermini, while the Astra was favourite family hatch. Off-road buyers love Land Rover Freelanders and sports car drivers really have the hots for the Audi TT.
Experian’s Mark Nuttall said ‘as our analysis shows, affordable smaller vehicles have managed to appeal again to motorists, with the Corsa overtaking all the other cars to become the nation’s favourite small used car.’
The listings were compiled by Experian and the DVLA, so fully reflect the used car scene in 2009.
