Suzuki to service ALL cars
May 19th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
SUZUKI has unveiled a car industry aftersales first, by unveiling its All-Makes Servicing scheme.
This means that all of Suzuki’s 152 dealers will be able to service ALL makes of car!
It’s a pretty groundbreaking move, made possible by 3 collaborations:
• Branded parts from Motaquip, delivered by Suzuki logistics
• Identification of required parts using MAM database
• Vehicle service and repair information from Autodata
Car dealers can find out the parts from MAM, discover how to fit them from Autodata, prior to getting them delivered from Motaquip.
Enabling all customers, boasts the brand, to sample brand customer service that beats independent outlets. Only 1 other car brand can do this…
Michael Le-Flay, aftersales marketing manager, Suzuki GB, said: ‘The launch of our industry leading All-Makes Servicing programme provides our dealer network with additional opportunities to greatly increase their workshop throughput and offer an alternative to independent outlets.
‘We are confident that, together with our 3 industry partners, we can offer a sophisticated and competitive service to motorists across all marques.’
What do YOU think of this interesting development? When do you expect YOUR franchised brand to follow suit? What may the implications be?
