skoda scraps vatSKODA has scrapped VAT on its current Octavia range, in a special offer due to run until the end of the year.

The offer runs from until 31 December and is limited to current shape Octavias only, as the maker seeks to clear stocks of the car before next year’s facelift arrives.

It will save customers up to £3000.

The offer also includes the purchase prices of options, and the vehicle delivery charge.

Robert Hazelwood, brand director at Skoda, said: ‘The Octavia is our best seller.’ The model has sold nearly 140,000 units in the UK.

‘As car buyers scour the market in search of great deals, we are responding to their needs, and covering the cost of VAT on any Octavia purchased in December.’

The headline grabbing promotion is almost certain to successfully clear stocks of the outgoing car…
