Skoda dealer chief promo
December 8th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
SKODA has promoted head of retail operations Chris Newitt to its new head of marketing operations.
Newitt will start his new role in February, taking over the reigns from Mary Newcombe.
She now becomes head of learning services for all brands in the Volkswagen Group UK – meaning she’ll be organising training schemes for VW Group car dealers.
Car dealers have plenty to thank Newitt for. In his 3 years as dealer ops head, he’s delivered a 2 percent return on sales for car dealers, despite the impact of the recession.
Skoda now registers record market share and is scoring big in customer satisfaction surveys, too.
Newitt’s career with VW Group started in 1996 as fleet development manager. Between then and now, he’s also been brand manager, planning manager and head of parts ops.
