Skoda car dealer 24-7

September 30th, 2009 by Richard Aucock

7SKODA customers in Glasgow are to get round the clock franchise car dealer service, with the launch of a new system.

Henry’s Skoda has become the first dealer in the UK to develop the ‘always on’ service.

It takes the form of a touchscreen, that lets customers:

•    Request a service appointment
•    Book an MOT
•    Make a used car enquiry
•    Book a test drive
•    Browse brochures and price lists

Customers can even use the interactive screen to send a pdf of a Skoda brochure back home to their email account – with confirmation by text message!

Pretty trick stuff, that was developed by Southampton’s Intelletech Ltd. They’ve ensured it links up directly with car sales or aftersales departments, so enquiries can’t be ‘lost’. Full reports are generated as backups.

Basically, it’s a ‘peek into the future,’ said DP Bruce Henry.

It’s ‘a sure sign that Henry’s is embracing the technology available to further improve customer experience.

‘The system sends information to our mobile phones and email as soon as a request is sent so that we can respond as quickly as is necessary, thus offering maximum flexibility to customers.

‘In this day and age, with the growth of internet usage, customers want access to information and service when they need it, and this new system provides it.’
