Skoda conquests Porsche
August 4th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
SKODA says that 9 in 10 customers buying cars on scrappage are new to the brand, in a conquest sales boost.
4500 Skodas have been ordered through the scheme, and nearly 2000 have been delivered.
But it’s the scrap cars that have been taking Skoda car dealer’s eyes. These range from a Trabant to a Porsche!
Of course, the results are maybe unsurprising; Skoda was far from the company it is now 10 years ago, meaning the old car parc of Skodas on UK roads is more limited.
Nevertheless, it’s still a healthy addition to the statistics.
81 percent of all scrappage Skodas are Fabias, with the Octavia claiming another 15 percent. 134 Roomsters and 40 Superbs account for the rest of the total.
