Renault hot hatch lux!
RENAULT has a new entrant in the UK hot hatch sector – the Clio Renaultsport 197 Lux.
It includes leather upholstery and climate control, worth £2000, for £1000 more than the standard car.
The new model meets customer calls for more luxurious models. This trend is increasing as car buyers downsize from larger, more expensive models.
Yet the Renaultsport 197 is no less rapid than the standard Clio hot hatch, with the same sporting suspension settings.
Customers can also option a more focused Cup chassis pack, for £400.
Brushed aluminium wheels and satin chrome finish door mirrors differentiate the Lux outside. There are also satin finished grills in the front wings.
Inside, Renaults has included automatic headlights and wipers, front cornering lights, deep-tint rear glass, an upgraded stereo, Renaultsport mats and further satin detailing for the air vents.
This gives dealers plenty to sell to the customer over the standard model.
Dealer order books are open now. Deliveries start in January 2009.
