Renault dealers’ new MD
August 20th, 2010 by Richard Aucock
RENAULT Retail Group UK has a new MD following the promotion of previous incumbent Ian Plummer to Renault UK.
Stuart Walker is the new MD, stepping up from Retail Group deputy MD.
That’s not all he’s lined up to do, either: the firm also has him heading up the Nissan division, along with the used car Autoworld franchise.
Quite a journey for the 60 year old, who started as a sales manager at Renault Manchester.
‘I am thrilled to be taking over at the helm of Renault Retail and continuing the good work that was done under Ian Plummer’s leadership,’ said the keen Man City footie fan.
‘Under his tenure, the group – which is 100 percent owned by Renault – has achieved its aims of volume and profitability through quality and commitment to the very best customer service.
‘We are fortunate in that we have a team of extremely dedicated and highly professional staff throughout our 23 sites. All of them share our strong passion for the brand.
‘Coupled with a strong and innovative product range and its strong reputation for safe and stylish cars and vans, we are in a good position to face the future.’
