PPI’s dramatic boost

GMAC has extended the recent trend towards offering free unemployment cover to USED schemes, too.
What’s more, the Vauxhall, Saab and Chevrolet financier is to offer the deal on ALL new and used car finance packages, too!
All GMAC finance products issued between now and the end of June will be covered, for 24 months’ free cover if customers lose their job.
It is a dramatic extension to other finance schemes ran by the finance arm, which include 0 percent finance deals.
And is all to give buyers the confidence to return to showrooms.
‘Our aim is to give consumers confidence that now is a great time to visit your Vauxhall, Saab or Chevrolet retailer and purchase a new or used car,’ said Dennis Foley, MD, sales & marketing, GMAC UK.
‘This market-leading offer means… the added confidence that their investment is additionally protected in case of involuntary unemployment.’
It’s the boldest offer yet for the PPI-style scheme, which has already been introduced on new cars by Honda, Renault and Volvo.
