Porsche specialist hunt
PORSCHE specialist car dealer Dove House is looking for a Porsche service manager with big aspirations.
The Rushden retailer is expanding into the aftersales arena, by building its own in-house workshop.
This is being constructed right now – but the search for the right person to manage it continues. That’s because the final candidate will be given a huge opportunity, which the firm’s owners are determined to maximise.
‘We are looking to diversify and see servicing as a big area for growth,’ sales director Simon Lenton told Car Dealer Magazine.
‘We pride ourselves on our high standards and will continue this as we expand – as we’re a Porsche specialist, we need to find someone trained to Porsche standards, who will be familiar with the high-value cars we sell.’
This will also be necessary to mastermind the hi-tech equipment the new workshop will be fitted out in, added Lenton.
‘Initially, we will start slowly, by servicing only the cars we sell. In time, we will invite our regular customers to use our servicing capacity, as we gain experience.
‘Longer term, we plan to develop it into a service specialist for all, with particular expertise in Porsches, that has a reputation for the highest standards of maintenance.’
If you are a technician who fancies a move into an independent with big plans for growth, Lenton wants to hear from you!
We will also be following Dove House as the car dealer constructs and opens its new servicing operations – and bringing these findings to other car dealers thinking of branching out.
