Peugeot sells Citroens
July 19th, 2010 by Richard Aucock
CITROEN has appointed Charles Peugeot as sales director for the UK cars division following CV success.
Under his watch, Citroen commercial vehicle sales rose by nearly 25 percent.
Now, he’s taking over the top sales job in Citroen UK, a promotion that he will take on from 1 August.
‘Citroen has changed dramatically in recent years,’ said Peugeot, ‘becoming ever more dynamic, stylish and innovative, and I look forward to contributing to the future development of the brand in my new position.
‘Having recently launched New C3 and DS3, and with more exciting products like New C4, DS4 and DS5 still to come, I am absolutely confident of Citroen UK’s and our dealer network’s future success.’
Citroen UK MD Linda Jackson, herself fairly new to the role, reckons he’s perfect ‘because of his operational experience and existing relationships with the Citroen dealer network.
‘Charles has already played a key role in driving sales and helping to grow Citroen’s reputation in the UK through new initiatives and an enhanced customer service programme.
‘I look forward to working with Charles to increase our sales and network profitability in the UK.’
