Paper plunge for dealers

DMS system Pinnacle has introduced a new feature to save both the trees and car dealers’ cash.
The Pinewood DMS now includes Compact Printing which trials have shown to offer big savings.
It does so through simply reducing big documents into smaller ones, automatically; dealers simply choose ‘regular’ or ‘compact’ in a straightforward options box.
This means more information can be printed on less paper, which also saves on toner and document storage.
Dealers can set up the parameters themselves, tailoring it to their particular systems. It is automatically included in the latest version of Pinnacle software – free of charge.
Pinewood MD Neville Briggs said it was a simple solution to an inevitable problem faced by car dealers.
‘Most dealerships make their way through reams of paper every week. It is simply a paper intensive business because of the amount of documentation that is required for all kinds of standard processes.
‘However, by not just reducing the size of the documents but redesigning them so that they are still clearly legible, paper use can be massively reduced.
‘At a point in time when dealers are looking to minimise all kinds of costs, it is an easy win.’
