OFFICIAL: New Jaguar XJ
April 20th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
JAGUAR has released the first official shot of its all-new XJ luxury saloon car, due this summer.
The teaser image is the first totally uncloaked picture to emerge from the Coventry car maker – and hints at the advanced lines of the new Mercedes S-Class rival.
Jaguar’s new XJ will be officially launched on 9 July – in London.
Most prominent is the near-full-length glass roof, a special feature that supports Jaguar’s claim of this being one of the most coupe-like large luxury saloons on the market.
The new Jaguar XJ also looks to have a muscular front end, plus plenty of cues from the BMW 5 Series rivaling XF.
Check out the sporty-looking rear, too: this is a real departure from the dated old XJ!
