Nissan Van of the Year
NISSAN has won this year’s International Van of the Year award with the all-new Nissan NV200 small van.
The model, which is rolling out to dealer showrooms now, won top votes from the 23-member jury.
Car-like exterior dimensions, coupled with cargo capacity of a much larger van, were key to the decision. The Nissan can stack 2 Euro pallets at the same time, while the floor height is the lowest in the sector.
Nissan says it offers 25 percent more load volume than its rivals’ average.
The NV200 starts out in the UK in Van form, costing £12,090 plus VAT. Next February, there’s going to be a clever Combi version, with a 7-seat option.
A global model, the NV200 is significant for another reason, too. Nissan recently confirmed that it will be come the second all-electric model sold by the firm, after the pioneering Leaf.
Car Dealer Magazine thinks we’ll become quite familiar with the smart-looking Nissan light commercial.
After all, it’s been on sale in Japan for a while now. Where it’s won 40 percent market share…
