JAGUAR has confirmed more details about the all-new Jaguar XJ luxury saloon, due for launch on 9 July.
The company’s MD, Mike O’Driscoll, spoke at the Shanghai Motor Show, and said that the complete spec will be revealed at the car’s launch in London.
This will include not only full technical information, but prices, too.
Jaguar car dealers will also be able to start accepting orders from that point, for delivery early in 2010.
So, what’s the meat behind the new car? Well, O’Driscoll was still cagey, but did provide a few more hard facts for car dealers, by saying that:
• Engines will include a 3.0-litre V6 diesel, plus the company’s 510bhp supercharged V8
• Two versions will be offered – standard and long-wheelbase
• The body and chassis will be constructed from aluminium
• A panoramic glass roof will be available
• Jaguar will offer the ‘highest standards of personal luxury and specification’
