motorpoint-success-creates-key-new-roleBOOMING car dealer Motorpoint is enjoying such great success, it’s had to create an entirely new job for a key chief!

James Faulkner has been appointed Motorpoint’s new group disposals manager – and, right away, has been charged with disposing of more than 18,000 vehicles a year.

That’s how many Motorpoint has been taking in part exchange, such is the strength of its sales recently. Luckily, Faulkner has an important tool at his disposal – Motorpoint subsidiary auction4cars.com.

The former general manager at Motorpoint Peterborough has previous experience in disposals, having held similar roles for the likes of Alamo and National Car Rental, before joining Motorpoint in 2001.

‘I am really looking forward to this newly-created role,’ said Faulkner. ‘I’ve considerable experience of working in this field, and I can’t wait to put it to good use at Motorpoint.’

That Motorpoint subsidiary will be a vital part of his new role. Launched late last year, the fee-free auction-based auction4cars website is currently selling 170 cars a week.

This number is likely to more than double by mid-2009 as the concept is rolled out nationwide.
