MANHEIM has held its first car auction at its new Bruntingthorpe super centre with a sale of 365 cars.
The Lombard Vehicle Management sale made over £3.5 million and boasted an 80 percent conversion rate.
Almost 300 buyers attended the old US Airforce base in Leicestershire, reports Manheim MD Mike Pilkington, with lots more taking part online through the company’s Simulcast system.
‘This new super-centre further enhances Manheim’s capability and enables us to set new standards in vehicle remarketing,’ said Pilkington.
‘I am confident that this new Midlands location for Manheim will prove very popular with both vendors and buyers in the months and years to come.’
Lombard head of remarketing, Richard Richmond, was clearly impressed, and not just because his prestige selection of cars achieved 103 percent of CAP Clean.
‘Bruntingthorpe is a very impressive location with excellent facilities and I was very encouraged by the quality of the buyers attending and the values achieved.
‘Lombard Vehicle Management has a strong working relationship with Manheim and I have no doubt that the success of Bruntingthorpe will further strengthen that partnership.’
