manheim BEN charity rideMANHEIM has raised £3000 for BEN, in its latest Tour de France Bike Ride.

In its 8th year, 25 Manheim employees and customers rode the 165-mile leg from Auray to Brieuc.

They took just two days to do so. Raising money for both BEN and the intensive care unit at the Nottingham Queen’s Medical Centre.

The event was organised by Manheim reconditioning manager Dave Anthony. ‘When I started the Bike Ride eight years ago, there were just a handful of us, he said.

‘However, it has now grown into a much larger event, thanks to the support of Manheim and its customers. Next year, the event will be even more challenging, and hopefully, we will raise even more money for worthwhile causes.”

Charles Davis, director of fundraising and communications at BEN, said: ‘This is an extremely strenuous event and a great accomplishment for each and every person who took part.

‘On behalf of BEN, I’d like to say a huge thank you to the Manheim team, for taking the time to train for this event, and raise money to help us continue our work within the industry.’
