Local aftersales boosted

AFTERSALES departments are to be given a big potential boost, thanks to a new stock management tool.
Dragon2000 has just launched Inventory Management. This analyses a dealer’s parts stock – then compares it to the types of car on the road in that area.
If the dealer’s stock is out of sync, it flags this up, so car dealers can both increase sales and reduce costs.
It does this by hooking into the Dragon2000 DMS. It means dealers can get shot of obsolete stock, and ensure their parts stores are only filled with components which will make them money.
Cleverly, it also pops up suggestions for parts the dealer could be carrying to make more money. Crucially, though, it’s also very simple to use.
It’s part of an interface called ‘Collaborative Inventory Management’, something that’s already being used by Harley-Davidson’s UK network.
What’s more, Dragon2000 reckons it’s talking to other car makers about introducing the system.
Could it soon be coming to your dealership?
