Lexus tops JD Power
June 5th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
LEXUS has topped the latest J.D. Power customer satisfaction survey – for the 9th year running!
And it was a double celebration at Toyota, as the firm’s Japanese volume counterpart came in second.
The Lexus-Toyota 1-2 was down to the owner-pleasing talents of the Lexus RX and Toyota Prius.
What’s more, of the Lexus RX’s winning 853-point score, dealers had a significant contribution.
Key to the brand once again winning the J.D. Power survey was owner satisfaction from Lexus car dealers.
Indeed, in the overall car manufacturer rankings, service satisfaction was once again a vital component of Lexus’ winning result.
So Lexus car dealers can rightly claim to have officially beaten all others…
‘Lexus consistently delivers an exceptional ownership experience for customers in the UK,’ said Susan Barnes, director at J.D. Power.
‘In these challenging times, satisfaction programmes could be well worth the investment.’
Nearly 60 percent of car buyers ‘definitely will’ consider the same car brand in the future. Those who are unsatisfied? Only 18 percent will.
‘Providing an outstanding experience can make all the difference in keeping customers with the brand, and helping towards a brand’s future economic success.’
OFFICIAL confirmation, if you like, of the importance of car dealers…
