Kia signs up Marshall
June 25th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
MARSHALL Motor Group has announced a new deal to represent fast-growing value brand Kia.
The company’s first Kia franchise will open in Ipswich on 1 July.
Ransomes Europark already runs Vauxhall and Chevrolet franchises. Now, an extra string to its budget-conscious bow is added by Kia.
Chief executive Daksh Gupta said Marshall was delighted with the appointment.
‘We have been impressed by the speed with which this franchise has been established and growing over the last few years – and are very excited about the opportunity that this gives us.’
It’s all part of Marshall’s big growth plans. ‘Marshall is a strong business and we are maximising the opportunities which are available in the market.’
His plan is for national growth, ‘with good business and scalable opportunities where our values and high operating standards can delivery outstanding value.’
The intent was to build strong relationships with brand partners, he added.
Partners such as Paul Philpott, MD of Kia UK. ‘We are very pleased that such a progressive group as Marshall has decided to come on board with our growing franchise.
‘It is a clear sign of how far our franchise has come that Marshall is prepared to invest in Kia in Ipswich, and already we have a strong relationship with Daksh Gupta and his team.
‘We hope this is just the start of a bigger franchise relationship.’
There’s more to come from the two, we suspect…
