Kia’s contract hire deal
May 15th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
KIA dealers now have enhanced opportunities in the fleet sales sector, thanks to a new partnership.
The company has teamed up with ALD Automotive, to offer a new dealer-based contract hire service.
This will help Kia’s 134 car dealers target fleet and corporate sales.
Every Kia car dealer in the country can now access ALD’s online leasing quote system, threesixty. This enables them to give customers contract hire quotes, with or without maintenance.
ALD will also provide funding to Kia car dealers, and a range of other contract hire and personal contract leasing products. SME and retail customers are both eligible.
There will also be a range of half-day seminars, to demonstrate and explain all this to retailers.
Andrew Sellars, head of fleet and remarketing at Kia, said: ‘The last year has seen Kia Motors UK invest significantly in the fleet market in terms of resources and training, and this groundbreaking relationship with ALD will enable us to provide a class leading service to our dealers and their customers, be they corporate or retail.’
ALD Director Mel Dawson was equally pleased: ‘ALD won the Kia contract in a competitive tender due to our quality of service and flexibility.’
So, what’s in it for car dealers? ‘The ability of Kia’s franchised dealer network to offer customers a vehicle leasing opportunity with budgeted monthly motoring costs will further increase sales,’ said Dawson.
Good news – right now, any extra profit opportunities should be welcomed…
