JCT600 sells 600 a week
JCT600 sold a record total of 632 retail cars over the last 7 day period as customer confidence booms.
The Yorkshire car dealer says the past week has been the most successful in its 60-year history.
Cars sold were worth a total of more than £10 million – and 2 dealerships each contributed 100 sales to the big total!
The figure is a 20 per cent increase on JCT600’s previous record of 504 retail cars sold in a week back in September 2009.
Sales Director Andrew Coulthurst said ‘it was a phenomenal week for car sales at all of our dealerships, with the Peugeot showrooms in Bradford, Menston and Hull proving particularly popular.
‘It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly what caused this spike, but it’s probably a combination of factors.’ He listed several reasons why:
• Pent-up demand
• Competitive promotions
• New car registrations
• An improvement in the weather
‘We’ve seen a distinct improvement in sales over the last year, partly helped by the scrappage scheme, and we hope that this uplift is a further indication of a return of consumer confidence.’
