JCT600 new build
July 27th, 2010 by Richard Aucock
JCT600 has started work on a £750k rebuild of its iconic Rawdon Roundabout site in West Yorkshire.
Known as the ‘JCT roundabout’, the entire 20 year old site is being demolished and reconstructed.
The rebuilt site will launch the new PriceRight concept, which the firm describes as a standalone outlet-style concept ‘designed in response to the public’s increasing appetite for good quality secondhand vehicles’.
It will open by the end of September this year.
Mark Taylor, group property director at JCT600 said: ‘JCT600 is constantly looking for ways to develop in line with customer demand and we have based our concept on the successful ‘outlet’ centers operated by high street retailers.
‘When complete, the new facility will provide us with the ideal facilities to promote our PriceRight concept in a location that is already synonymous with the JCT600 brand.
PriceRight will, in time, roll out to other JCT600 sites, after its debut on the 180-car Rawdon site. Feedback will be quickly generated: 40,000 vehicles a day pass the famed roundabout development!
What about the existing Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep showroom, though? That’s been relocated to the old SEAT showroom over the road.
Car Dealer Magazine will watch progress carefully and, we’re sure, bring you details of the PriceRight launch in due course.
