TATA has appointed former Vauxhall boss Carl-Peter Forster to head up its global operations including JLR.
The 55 year old takes up the group chief executive officer role after heading up GM Europe brands Vauxhall, Chevrolet, Saab and Opel.
Before that, he was a board member at BMW, so boasts a glittering record of achievement.
The firm is making no further statements yet, other than a comment from chairman Ratan Tata.
‘Tata Motors expects that Mr. Forster’s induction will greatly facilitate its ambition towards being a truly international company.’
What do you think about Tata’s announcement after the surprise departure of former Jaguar Land Rover boss David Smith?
