Infiniti really is coming!
June 10th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
INFINITI, Nissan’s Lexus-rivaling upmarket division, has confirmed its first official UK car dealer.
The first Infiniti Centre will open near Reading this September.
Rymco UK will be the retail partner – and will also set up two further Centres in West and North London.
This is a subsidiary company of Infiniti’s existing partner in the Lebanon, and will be headed up by Paul Atkinson.
He’s a man with years of premium experience, from both Inchcape Retail and Jardine Motors Group.
He’ll be charged with selling a full range of Infinitis – the G37 saloon, coupe and convertible, plus the EX37 and FX range of SUV crossovers. What’s more, a large saloon and the all-important V6 diesel arrive next year, too.
Atkinson will also be introducing never-before-seen customer service standards to the UK. Infiniti’s strict standards mean tight rules are set out for each car dealer. It’s all set out under the ‘Total Ownership Experience’ banner, with ultra-demanding guidelines.
In time, Infiniti will have 12 car dealers in the UK. But, it promises, the whole of the UK will essentially be covered – the Infiniti VIP service collects customer cars up to 150 miles away.
As the site nears completion, it is finally all systems go for the launch of the Mercedes and BMW alternative. Franchised car dealers across the land will be watching it closely…
