Dodge the 2p fuel rise
August 31st, 2009 by Richard Aucock
MORRISONS is to freeze the 2p per litre fuel duty price rise for an extra week, it has been announced.
This will save car dealers around £1 per car on the average new car delivery tankful.
With the September delivery cycle in full swing, this could add up to significant savings, if there is a Morrisons fuel station near your retailer.
Morrisons says it has 290 forecourts across the country. Could it save you cash if you used them?
The prize freeze will run from midnight, when the 2p duty increase (2.3p. once you add in VAT) comes into force, until Sunday 6 September.
Car Dealer Magazine will be sure to bring you news of any other fuel retailers following Morrison’s lead.
