New direction at Hartwell
April 12th, 2010 by Richard Aucock
HARTWELL has taken on 3 new managers in an effort to drive sales at its new Nissan and Citroen dealerships.
The group have also announced a new customer-focused business strategy at the Scunthorpe car dealers.
This is aimed at reintroducing the Nissan and Citroen brand, which have been without representation in the area since 2006.
Paul Kellett has joined Hartwell in Station Road as the new general manager. ‘One of my tasks is to create a customer focused, friendly face for Hartwell in Scunthorpe and invite Nissan and Citroen owners to meet our new team.
‘There is a new spirit at Hartwell and we want to tempt customers back with a combination of unbeatable new and used car deals, excellent value for money and customer-friendly service,’ he said.
Other key new additions to the Hartwell team are Gary Medden as Hartwell’s new sales manager, and Ian Beckett as the new business manager.
The new focus on customer service is already paying off, with Hartwell reporting sales increases of 200-300 percent on new and used cars in the first quarter of the year.
This is due in no small part to the new models Nissan and Citroen have introduced in the past few months, including the new the facelifted Qashqai and Note models from Nissan, and Citroen’s new DS3.
‘I believe that people like to buy from people, not computers, and so customer service is our number one priority,’ added Gary.
‘We always do everything we can to ensure they drive away satisfied – and preferably in one of our cars!’
