Friday 13 Complaints Day
November 12th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
NATIONAL Complaints Day kicks off tomorrow, meaning you should anticipate a possible rise in grumbles.
The well-publicised ‘Day’ is, fittingly, running on Friday 13th.
Car Dealer Magazine is sure it will be picked up by the national press, which is why you should anticipate a potential complaints upturn – and be ready for it!
National Complaints Day is described as a series of free events publicising consumer issues and rights.
It’s not just for consumers, though. Businesses are also helped, as there’s expert advice on offer to support organisations aiming to improve customer service.
One trick feature of the website is a ‘Customer Complaints Counter’. Controllers of the site say the average for this is 1,369,863.
The bit of real interest to you, though, is the ‘Complaint Cost Counter’, which sits alongside it. Average cost here? £63,051,229.
That’s a LOT of potential money-saving opportunity if you can improve customer service and reduce complaints.
Both counters start midnight tonight. It will be interesting to see how they tick over.
Car dealers will note it’s supported by some big brands, including Which? legal service. This means that many customers WILL be aware the day is underway…
… It’s important you’re primed and ready to respond!
