First GT-R delivered
April 9th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
NISSAN’S special High Performance Centres have today delivered their first UK GT-R supercar.
The order books opened a year ago: today, at 7.29am, the first buyers collected their cars from the 11 UK centres.
Why 7.29am? Because that’s the car’s dazzling Nurburgring hot lap time…
More than 1200 people have placed deposits with Nissan’s premium car dealers, and the waiting list currently stands at over a year.
But it’s going to be a Good Thursday for the lucky first-in-line buyers, snaring the keys to their UK-specific 485PS machines.
Nissan says its car dealers will see subsequent new GT-R deliveries filter through, although it reports such high demand, that waiting list won’t be reduced any time soon…
More info on the uber-Nissan can be found on a dedicated website.
