First Edition Kia Sportage
July 9th, 2010 by Richard Aucock
KIA is continuing its big product drive with an all-new Sportage next month – that is coming to the UK earlier than expected.
The new compact SUV arrives in Kia dealers this August, sooner than Kia dealers were first told thanks to an earlier start in RHD production.
To mark this, Kia is launching a high-spec First Edition, which will help car dealers launch the vehicle with a splash.
It is also taking a leaf out of Range Rover’s book: 5 colours are on offer, including a stand-out Techno Orange! This, of course, is more than a little similar to the famed Range Rover Sport First Edition that caused a stir in Land Rover dealers a few years back…
… as, indeed, is the name itself!
Kia has followed Range Rover in loading the Sportage with kit, too. It’s 4WD, with a 2.0-litre diesel engine, and has full leather, climate control, LED running lights and 18-inch alloys.
For dealers keen to start promoting the new Sportage in earnest, Kia promises dealers will get full info on the First Edition by 20 July.
