Fiesta sales top 100k
FORD has ALREADY sold 100,000 new Fiestas so far this year – with 2 months of 2009 still to go.
October’s sales figures have seen the blue oval supermini become the first car to reach the 6-figure mark.
Nigel Sharp, Ford Britain MD, said ‘notching up over 100,000 sales this year is a significant milestone for the Fiesta, and we’re delighted.’
The MD also took time to praise Ford car dealers.
‘Fiesta exemplifies our fresh and exciting product line-up which, together with an outstanding dealer network, has helped to increase our UK market share.’
The success of the Fiesta is playing a big part in Ford’s increasing market share drive – this currently stands at 16.2 percent, 1.3 percent up on last year.
