New Mitsubishi UK MD
March 11th, 2009 by Richard Aucock
MITSUBISHI Motors UK has appointed Lance Bradley to the role of MD, succeeding Jim Tyrrell.
The mechanical engineering graduate has been with Mitsubishi since 2000, since when he has worked closely with dealers to develop the company’s strategy.
He is also the man behind the UK-only Mitsubishi Evo FQ range! And we all know what FQ stands for…
Tyrrell has stepped aside to the part-time role of vice president. ‘I have loved every minute of my time as MD,’ he said, ‘but I feel that now is a good time to enter a new phase of my life.
‘I am looking forward to my part-time position with the company, and to developing a range of outside non-executive interests.’
He also offered his full support to 44 year old Bradley. ‘He has provided fantastic support to me over the past nine years, and he thoroughly deserves his promotion to MD.’
Naturally, Bradley is chuffed: ‘It’s a time of unprecedented change in the motor industry – not only the economic pressures, but environmental pressures, too.
He offered positive words to dealers. ‘With the financial strength of the Mitsubishi Corporation supporting us, I am looking forward to building on the foundation we have established over the past decade, and leading the company into the next phase of its history.’
Bradley rose through the ranks with Ford in the 1990s, where he held a number of dealer-focused roles, includeing sales planning, customer and dealer incentive programmes, and fleet sales.
