Dealer trainees’ new tool
June 22nd, 2009 by Richard Aucock
CAR dealers are to benefit from a new wave of tech-savvy trainees, thanks to a Bristol academy.
The Bristol Automotive Academy has just installed the most advanced diagnostic training system on the market.
This helps train students by giving them ‘real life’ problems to solve. They have to identify, test and fix these scenarios – just as they will do when working on customer’s cars.
The AT5000 system is now live at S&B Automotive Academy, whose chief executive is Jon Winter.
‘As vehicles become more and more advanced in terms of technology,’ he said, ‘technicians and mechanics have to be well ahead of the game in terms of being able to fix, ‘first time’, the problems they come up against.
‘To be the first academy in the country to take delivery of this new system is a real coup, and we can’t wait to put it through its paces.’
Car dealers can look forward to over 600 students per year emerging from the training excellence it offers…
