Dealer video rockets

video-cameraCAR dealers are being urged to exploit the use of video content, by one leading big used car website.

The recommendation comes after motors.co.uk experienced a 400 percent rise of video reviews watched on its website.

A re-designed website, a greater emphasis on editorial content, and words of wisdom from a used car expert named ‘Motor Sensei’ are being attributed to the rise in visits to the site.

Katie Wardle, head of marketing at motors.co.uk said: ‘For someone looking to a buy a car it is really important to gather as much information as possible to make the right choice.

‘Our video reviews can take a lot of the stress of looking for the right car away from the buyer, allowing them to make informed decisions based on an impartial and reliable source.

‘These results are also great news for dealers and demonstrate how effective video car reviews are for engaging with customers and users.

‘Our video product is a great way for dealers to showcase their own vehicles, giving real confidence and reassurance to buyers.’

The videos watched online range from high-performance machinery to more sensible and practical cars. Currently on motors.co.uk, a video review of the Audi S4 has received over 1000 views, closely followed by videos featuring the Hyundai’s IX35 and the Kia cee’d.
