Cricket capt for dealers
August 22nd, 2009 by Richard Aucock
ENGLAND former cricket captain David Gower will head the RMIF’s line-up of speakers for its 2009 Annual Dinner.
The second-highest runs scorer in England Test Match history, Gower is more famous nowadays for taking charge of a team on They Think It’s All Over.
Nowadays, he takes charge of Sky’s cricket coverage, so will be looming large on our screens this weekend.
But in a few months, car dealers will be able to see the man who scored 18 Test Match centuries in real life!
He’ll line up alongside Phillip Hammond MP. He’s the shadow chief secretary to the Treasury – and will be providing the evening’s political angle.
‘With both David Gower and Philip Hammond MP now confirmed, you will want to make sure you are there for what promises to be a great night,’ said RMIF director Sue Robinson.
‘This year’s classic event will feature good food, fine wine, and a variety of top-class entertainment.’
