Chevrolet new fleet boss
February 2nd, 2010 by Richard Aucock
CHEVROLET is upping its fleet car sales drive with the appointment of a new boss and a new sales operation.
Keith Jones is the new Chevrolet national sales manager for the value-priced brand.
He heads up a brand new independent fleet sales operation, that will see fleet customers deal directly with Chevrolet. It brings structure to the company car sales side – and, for fleet-specialist car dealers, will support them to get the most from fleet opportunities.
The move marks an expansion for Chevrolet, which has traditionally been a retail-focused brand.
‘It’s a really exciting time to be part of Chevrolet UK,’ said Jones. ‘The company has huge potential in the fleet market, we have a great range of products that keeps on getting better and we’re ready to offer the same levels of great value for money, stylish design, comprehensive specification and customer-driven service to our fleet clients that are already much admired by our retail customers.’
Car dealers may already know Jones, mind, from his time as Saab national fleet sales manager.
Jones’ new team will now start promoting new fleet friendly models such as the new Spark city car and more diesel versions of the Cruze. With the change in company car tax rules due in the spring, he will be hoping the firm’s low prices and strong P11D costs will help drive further business.
If you are a Chevrolet car dealer, what do you think this new focus will mean for you?
