Bristol dealer takeover
February 4th, 2010 by Richard Aucock
BLADE Motor Group has acquired Bristol SEAT and Skoda for an undisclosed sum in a new deal.
The deal signals further strengthening of activity in the car dealer transactional sector.
Blade says the two VW Group car dealers will reinforce its portfolio of Volkswagen Group retailers. This relationship goes back years, says MD Mike Flanagan.
‘We have a strong relationship with Volkswagen UK and this will be our first experience of the Skoda brand also. We look forwarding to welcoming our new colleagues at the site into our business.’
ASE conducted the deal for Blades, and transaction manager David Kendrick says it won’t be the first such big deal car dealers will be seeing this year.
‘It certainly looks like the transactional activity in the sector is picking up, with a number of interesting conversations being had currently.
‘The acquisition of Bristol SEAT and Skoda sees yet another single site operation being acquired by a larger group.’
